Always eager to welcome new members, we are happy for new people to come along and check out our facilities for free.
If you want to have a look around, please email us and one of our friendly members will show you around and have a game. You can even borrow a racket and balls so you can simply turn up in your trainers. |
Find Us
You can find Grove Tennis Club on Heaton Road, about 40 metres from the roundabout with Gledholt Road, just across from Greenhead Park’s bowling greens and cafe. Look out for the green gate.
ClubhouseOur newly refurbished clubhouse includes changing rooms and a kitchen and seating area. The veranda offers a perfect sun trap where you can watch family and friends play tennis. There is a lovely lawn area where children can play.

Court MaintenanceWe rely on the helpful support of our members to maintain courts. Members are invited to join maintenance dates, usually Saturdays. Any help that you can provide will be appreciated and will help keep the tennis club up and running.

3 Red Clay CourtsClay courts are the best courts for playing tennis. Clay is certainly the tennis court surface that is easiest on the body. Clay absorbs more impact than a hard court would. That is probably why it is so popular among senior tennis players.
|
Friendly ClubOur members say that Grove is the friendliest club in the area. Members make an effort to welcome new members to join the WhatsApp group so we can easily get in touch and all members can come along to social nights for a guaranteed game.
