Grove Tennis Club Events
We are a friendly bunch at Grove Tennis Club and we have enjoyed a variety of social events over the years. The future of Grove Tennis Club Huddersfield relies on a bunch of amazing hardworking members and volunteers that support preparations for the brilliant courts.
Many hours of work result in the fabulous clay courts that we see each season. Many clubs have lost their clay courts due to the high maintenance required, but members at Grove continually talk about the positive benefits of clay over other surfaces. Team members note significantly less injuries and pains following a match on our clay courts compared to harder surfaces.
Please see the following blog post if you need a reminder on why clay courts are best for tennis.

Some of us walked from the Grove Tennis Club to the Royal & Ancient. Others met us there. It was a lovely walk, despite a turn in the weather as we approached the pub.
Thanks to all for a good catch up - a great way to see out 2023!

Art Exhibition - Broken Hand Tennis Club
In September 2021 we held an Art Exhibition at Grove. We were approached by local artist Dale Holmes who wanted to exhibit his artwork around our courts. The exhibition was called "Broken Hand Tennis Club".
Some of our members played tennis during the exhibition and some of us enjoyed refreshments alongside the tennis-inspired artwork.
This outdoor art exhibition was a first for Grove Tennis Club, but we are open to any new ideas that members may have a for a social or sporty get together.
